Obsessed with bringing you food and wine adventures!
On June 5, we’ll be able to get back to doing what we love best: serving great food to great people.
Since we’re committed to opening only if we can provide a safe and healthy workplace for workers and customers, at a minimum the following health and safety procedures will be in place.
The Modern Hotel and its sister restaurant, Txikiteo, will be opening in stages beginning June 1, with heightened measures in place that follow CDC and American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) guidelines regarding Covid-19.
Like everyone else in the country, we at the Modern are closely following each new development in the progression of the Covid-19 pandemic. After much deliberation and discussion, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close the Modern and Txikiteo. We believe this is the most responsible action to take in the face of this new and growing public health crisis.
The list of healthiest countries is out, and this year, Spain leads the world as the country whose citizens enjoys the longest life spans. In other words, the Txikiteo philosophy—lingering with friends over an unhurried meal and a sociable glass of wine—is good for your health.
Txikiteo’s wine program includes classics that are the cornerstones of any wine list (traditional wines from Spain, France, and Italy), but also features bottles that even the most adventurous wine-lover may never have heard of.
All 2019 Campfire Stories evenings take place on the patio at Txikiteo, with writers and storytellers from all genres telling tales loosely organized around a theme. Txikiteo’s signature tapas, charcuterie, and select wines and beers are available.
Joshy Soul, whose Treefort fans lined a full city block last March, brought their retro-infused soul-pop band to the patio at Txikiteo, June 5. The high energy performance, complete with a horn section and Motown dance moves, put Soul’s pop-catchy and sophisticated sound on display.
